YVONNE’S COLLECTABLES

From ALFRED MEAKIN, England, in the ROYAL MARIGOLD series and in the BELAIR pattern, this trio with lovely floral decoration and blue trim. The sideplates have the full backstamp as depicted below, which dates to c1937. The cups only have the impressed word “England” and the saucers have the green backstamp without the pattern name “Belair.”

There is absolutely no damage to these beautiful items, not even age crazing, but only very, very fine surface scratches from use and just the barest loss of blue trim.

The cups measure 7.5cm in height with a diameter of 8.5cm measured on the rim. Saucers are 15cm in diameter, and sideplates 17.5cm.
