Ali-Bab 'The Encyclopedia of Practical Gastronomy'- early French first edition

 A rare copy of a landmark work in culinary history. Polish born Henryk Babiński (1855-1931) is well-known as the author of a monumental gastronomic book that is still in use today. The book, the legendary Gastronomie Pratique (written under the pen name Ali-Bab), first published in 1907 is a whopping 1200 pages long and includes thousands of recipes. A brilliant introduction on the condition of gastronomy and the history of cooking throughout the ages.
