Once upon a time, in a bustling town filled with colorful markets and whispering winds, lived a kind and clever woodcutter named Ali Baba. He wasn't rich, but he was happy. One day, while gathering firewood in a hidden part of the forest, he saw a cloud of dust in the distance.
"What's that?" he wondered. As the dust cloud got closer, he saw forty fierce-looking men on horseback, their faces hidden by scarves! They stopped in front of a big, rocky cliff. Ali Baba, scared but curious, climbed a tree to hide and watch.
Then, the leader of the men shouted, "Open Sesame!" And just like magic, a secret door in the cliff opened wide, revealing a dark cave! The men rode inside, and the door closed behind them.
Ali Baba waited until they were gone, and then, his heart pounding, he crept closer. He remembered the magic words: "Open Sesame!" He whispered them, and the door swung open! Inside, the cave was filled with glittering gold coins, shining jewels, and piles of treasure! It was the thieves' secret hideout!
Ali Baba, being a good man, only took a little bit of gold to help his family. He remembered the magic words, "Close Sesame!", and the door shut tight.
When he got home, his brother, Qasim, who was very greedy, noticed the gold. "Where did you get that?" he asked, his eyes wide. Ali Baba, excited, told him about the secret cave and the magic words.
Qasim, his eyes sparkling with greed, rushed to the cave. "Open Sesame!" he shouted, and the door opened. Inside, he piled up as much treasure as he could carry. But, oh no! He was so excited that he forgot the magic words to close the door!
When the forty thieves returned, they found Qasim trapped inside. They were very angry, and Qasim was sadly lost.
Ali Baba was heartbroken. He had only wanted to help his family, but his brother's greed had led to terrible trouble. He wondered, "Would it have been better if I had never found the cave at all?" He learned a valuable lesson that day: that greed can lead to sadness, and that even magic words can't protect you from bad choices.
