Born 1925 in Vienna, Austria | ||||
Resided in South Africa from 1948. Studies: 1955-60 Pretoria Technical Collect, under Robert Hodgins; 1965 in Rome, Italy under S. Giuliani; 1978 Camden Institute for Adult Education, London, England, screenprinting under Miss Greenfield. Profile: From 1960 a member of the SAAA; a member of the Artists Guild, Cape Town. 1984 illustrated Gebed vir Wilhelm, a book of poetry by Phil du Plessis. 1938-48 lived in England; 1948-71 lived in Pretoria, thereafter in the Cape Province. 1964-65 visited Rome; 1978 London and in 1984 Jerusalem. In 1986 she spent four months at the Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris. Exhibitions: 1959 Lidchi Gallery, Johannesburg, first of 37 solo exhibitions, two of which were held in London in 1978 and one in 1985; she has participated in numerous group exhibitions from 1960 through South Africa and in Italy, West Germany, Zimbabwe, the UK, the USA and France; 1960 and 1964 Quadrennial Exhibitions; 1981 Republic Festival Exhibition.
