Scientific name: Aloidendron bainesii x ramosissima
Common Names: Aloe Masada, Tree Aloe, Quiver Tree
Aloe Masada makes a very imposing figure when at its full height, creating a prominent figure at the doorways of many stately homes. So why not bring a hint of this elegance into your urban dwelling?
Tree aloes are commonly grown as outdoor focus pieces but have recently found their way into the interiors of our living spaces. With their large single silvery trunks and crown of grey-green leaves they forge striking sentinels in the sunniest corner of a room, where nothing else will survive. As a medium to slow-growing indoor plant they will take some time to dominate an area, so get them young for smaller indoor spaces where full sun and low humidity are available.
Nothing is easier to care for than an Aloe Masada with its low maintenance and watering needs constituting them as ideal for the novice plant lover. They will tolerate bright indirect light but this can inhibit their growth immensely, if kept in such a position be sure to adjust the watering frequency. These amazing house plants also make fantastic balcony dwellers as they can withstand high winds.
Pair your Aloe Masada with a contemporary cement planter or palm leaf basket for a more subtle look.
Please note: Tree Aloes are not known to be toxic to pets or humans, however, if large quantities are consumed stomach upset may occur
