Aloe vryheidensis forms single-stemmed plants up to 2 meters in height. It has greyish-green to pinkish-red, erect to spreading leaves. During winter this aloe puts on a fabulous display of erect densely multi-flowered racemes of yellow to bright red flowers hat resembles a bottle brush. This aloe grows well in alkaline soil.
