Hardcover published 1914 by Longmans, Green, and Co., no jacket. Original illustrated green cloth boards with stamped gilt titling, lightly worn at extremities. Signature of previous owner to inside front board. Endpapers tanned. Frontispiece portrait tissue guard intact, and all 24 plates present and well bound. "Illustrations from drawings on birch bark, made by the author in the woods with burnt sticks from his fires, together with photographs taken before and after his experiences".
