. Many acne sufferers will find that the peels will keep their acne under control and smooth away blemishes and blotchy spots.
Glycolic products have been widely used by doctors for many years to treat acne with great results!
Recommendations: Cleanse skin with an oil free cleanser and pat dry. Apply enough Glycolic Acid to cover the area, and avoid eyes, lips, and mucuos membranes, Do not rub into skin. Leave on for 4-6 minutes. Rinse well with lukewarm water and sodium bicarbonate paste to neutralize after the 4-6 minute application. Do not apply the Glycolic Acid more than once in a 7 day period. Apply a moisturizer containing sunscreen (SPF 15) Repeat proceedure once a week for 6 weeks, then pause for 1 month, then you may start again. Warnings and Policy agreement:
As with any peeling product, some people are resistant to acids. If you think you fall into this category, please "decline" on using this product. Even though many users have had great success, we cannot guarantee results. You assume sole risk and responsibility when using this product. Glycolic Products are not to be used if pregnant or nursing. Do not use if you have recently undergone Chemotherapy, Radiation, or Accutane treatment. Do not use on irritated skin, or recently exfoliated skin. Consult your Physician before use if you are unsure about using this product with a skin condition.
Clients need to be aware that by using glycolic acid and other peeling products, your skin will be more photo-sensitive than normal. It is recommended that you use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15, preferably SPF 30 or higher, after using skin peel products. The FDA recommends using an SPF for one week post-peel.
