Amanda Blue Leigh is a studio musician and singer/songwriter. Born and raised in Cape Town South Africa, Amanda has been the lead singer of several bands, most notably SPIDER with drummer Anton Fig. In the 80s, SPIDER went on to tour with Alice Cooper, and, Tina Turner covered the SPIDER original, "Better Be Good to Me which took home Best Female Rock Vocal Performance at the 27th Grammy Awards (1985). In the 90s, Amanda played with Noel Redding (Hendrix) and was managed by Gene Simmons (KISS) In the 2000s Amanda went Independent, through to the present, she has recorded and produced several albums of her own original songs released through CDBaby. She also has several videos on YouTube. Her last album release, Best Of Blue (2020) is featured in Rock Cellar Magazine out of LA, Steve Sykes, Fuzzbee Morse, Phil Jones, Chad Watson and Peter Doell, completes her 1980's sound with the best of her original material in the 80's rock style, along with a smokin' band of musicians, some of the best out of LA on the record.
