Please note:

These bulbs are pre-order items and are expected to be dispatched in the last week of August or the first week of September, weather permitting.
Our specialist growers carefully hold back stock until the bulbs have properly cured and are ready for immediate planting to ensure the best results in your garden.
In the unlikely event that a specific variety does not cure properly or is deemed non-viable by the farm, we will refund you for that portion of your order.

If you add pre-order items to your cart, your entire order will be held until those items are ready to ship. To receive in-stock items sooner, we recommend placing two separate orders.

The Amaryllis Sonatini 'Bella Rosa' is here to transform your space, offering an enchanting display that will leave you utterly captivated. This isn't just a plant; it's an experience, a living artwork designed to fill your heart with joy and your garden with exquisite beauty.

Why 'Bella Rosa' is the Amaryllis You've Been Dreaming Of:

  • Radiant Pink Blooms: Each 'Bella Rosa' bulb produces multiple stems, adorned with charming, soft pink flowers. Just look at the image that beautiful coral-pink hue with a delicate green throat is exactly what you can expect! These delightful blooms will make you smile every time you see them.

  • A South African Favourite: Perfectly suited for our unique climate, 'Bella Rosa' thrives in the warm South African sun. You'll love watching it flourish, knowing it's right at home in your garden.

  • Compact & Versatile: As a Sonatini variety, 'Bella Rosa' offers a more compact growth habit. This makes it ideal for pots, containers, or even as a charming border plant, allowing you to easily integrate its beauty into any space. It's perfect for adding a pop of colour to your patio or balcony!

  • Effortless Elegance: You'll be amazed at how little effort it takes to achieve such stunning results. 'Bella Rosa' is surprisingly low-maintenance, making it a dream come true for both seasoned gardeners and those just starting their green journey.

Cultivating Your 'Bella Rosa' Masterpiece:

Bringing the magic of 'Bella Rosa' to your garden is wonderfully simple. Here's how:

  • Sunlight: Your 'Bella Rosa' craves sunshine! Plant it in a spot where it receives plenty of bright, indirect light, especially during our sunny South African summers.

  • Watering Wisdom: During its active growth and flowering period, keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Once the blooms fade, reduce watering, allowing the plant to enter its natural dormancy. Good drainage is key! 💧

  • Soil Secrets: 'Bella Rosa' thrives in well-draining soil rich in organic matter. A good quality potting mix or a blend of garden soil with compost will provide the perfect home for its roots.

  • Planting Pointers: Plant the bulb with its neck protruding above the soil line. This ensures optimal growth and flowering.

  • Feeding for Flourish: A balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during its growing season will encourage abundant blooms and healthy foliage.

Feel the pride as your 'Bella Rosa' bursts into bloom, becoming the envy of your neighbourhood. Imagine the serene moments you'll spend admiring its graceful beauty, a true testament to nature's artistry. This is your chance to cultivate not just a plant, but a feeling of accomplishment and pure delight.

Position and soil
Amaryllis is one of the easiest plants to grow. It produces gorgeous blooms in just a few weeks after planting. They are happy in well-draining soil, but tolerate a variety of soils, ranging from heavy loam to light sand.

Further Care
Feed weekly with Hadeco Bulb Food until March. Watering should continue into April and can come to a halt from May. Bulbs can remain in the soil or be lifted once the foliage is yellow and has wilted. If you choose to lift, store them in cool and dry places (a dark cupboard or garage will do) and then at the end of winter it can be cleaned of old brown foliage and replanted in the garden or pots.
