Please note:

These bulbs are pre-order items and are expected to be dispatched in the last week of August or the first week of September, weather permitting.
Our specialist growers carefully hold back stock until the bulbs have properly cured and are ready for immediate planting to ensure the best results in your garden.
In the unlikely event that a specific variety does not cure properly or is deemed non-viable by the farm, we will refund you for that portion of your order.

Growing Guidance for South African Gardens:

  • When to Plant: For glorious summer blooms, plant your 'Lemon Sorbet' bulbs from late winter through spring (August to October) in warmer regions of South Africa.

  • Light Conditions: Give your Amaryllis plenty of sunshine! It thrives in full sun to partial shade, ideally receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for the best flowering.

  • Soil Composition: 'Lemon Sorbet' loves well-draining soil. Opt for a rich, loamy mix. If planting in containers, use a good quality potting mix designed for flowering plants. Good drainage is key to preventing root rot!

  • Watering Wisdom: Water regularly during its growing and flowering period, keeping the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering once the foliage starts to yellow and die back after flowering. Remember, overwatering is a common pitfall!

  • Feeding: A balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the growing season will encourage strong growth and abundant blooms.

Imagine the satisfaction as these captivating flowers unfurl, transforming your garden into a serene retreat. Picture yourself enjoying a morning coffee, surrounded by their gentle beauty, feeling a sense of peace and pride in your thriving outdoor space. 'Lemon Sorbet' Amaryllis isn't just a plant; it's an invitation to cultivate beauty and tranquility in your life.

Further Care
Feed weekly with Hadeco Bulb Food until March. Watering should continue into April and can come to a halt from May. Bulbs can remain in the soil or be lifted once the foliage is yellow and has wilted. If you choose to lift, store them in cool and dry places (a dark cupboard or garage will do) and then at the end of winter it can be cleaned of old brown foliage and replanted in the garden or pots.
