AMAZING~50 CM HIGH VINTAGE STERLING SILVER LAMP~FRILLY SHADE~FITTED~ELECTRICITY~SILVER 500 + GRAMMES

Unusual tall solid sterling 925 silver lamp and shade, fitted for electricity. In perfect working order, looks amazing when lighted. Press button switch for ease of control. Beautiful embossed, raised floral detail to base and mid section. Glass shade in a Victorian style is intact, couple of nibbles to base from being placed in and out of the fitting, but no cracks or chips. Glass Frilled edged top section, clean and damage free. Base with clawed feet is Stamped 925 on the bottom rim. No dents and no holes to silver. A small silver handle made to look like an oil lamp lever has been glued as the silver solder previously used became loose.

Excellent condition all round, no problems to disclose, no holes, dents or damages. Base is loaded with plaster of paris. Weight with the glass shade and bulb removed amounts to about 560 grammes. Not certain of the exact silver content, but is quite heavy. I am sure the lamp is worth a lot more than the scrap weight of about R2500?

Measures approximately 50 cm tall, shade in place and about 13 cm widest.
