The photo was taken with no flash camera. There are scratch marks all over the frame and I would suggest a new frame.
If you want to look for mistakes on the canvas, it seems like a few paintings were stacked on top of this painting by the Auctioneers and the board canvas has a few slight scratch marks on it. I zoomed in on the photo but even then you can hardly see it.
It is the right hand side painting that is for sale here. The left hand side painting is also for sale on another auction number ending on the same day, Wednesday 3 Aug 2016. THE OUTSIDE MEASUREMENT OF THE FRAME: 565 X 465 MM. Art 500 x 400 mm. The width of the frame is 40 wide X 20 mm high. It is signed by Artist Joan King.
In one of her other paintings which is also for sale on auction on BOB, she has a sticker on the back of the frame signed: "J. King 1965". Because of this, it is thus possible to say that this painting was painted between 1960 and 1970. The painting is over 50 years old.
Still life, flowers in a golden bowl on top of a brown table cloth with a bowl of green grapes on the right. With a new frame, the art will look stunning.
