Queen Lace crystal, from the foot of the Black Forest, is entirely handblown, handcut and handpolished by German master craftsmen. It is then engraved with the rare copper-wheel technique developed during the Renaissance. A single engraving take more than 24 hours to complete.
 
Queen Lace Crystal offers two distinct chrystalware series: the African (Elephant, Lion, Giraffe, Cape Buffalo, Rhino, Sable, Leopard and Kudu) and the American (Stag, Fox, Quail, Pheasant, Doe, Turkey, Whitetail Deer and Duck).

The name "Queen Lace" is derived from the delicate, intricate designs, and the "lace" part could is a reference to the fine, detailed engraving.
 
Queen Lace Crystal distinguishes itself from others by using a renaissance technique called Copper-Wheel Engraving. Copper-Wheel engraving is considered one of the most difficult art forms known to man as the craft takes 10 years to master.
