Has the following written on the bottle: "Jayhem Registered - The Property of Benoni Mineral Water Works (Pty) Ltd And Is Never Sold."

Benoni Mineral Water Works was affiliated to both Coca-Cola in 1938 and to Dr Pepper in the 1980s.

1938 - The Coca-Cola Export Corporation decides to set up its own operation in South Africa. Mr Howard Patterson, first MD of Coca-Cola (Pty) Ltd, is sent to South Africa.

1938 - Operations taken over from Mr Goldberg and Mr Zeffert and bottling of Coca-Cola is undertaken in Benoni using the manufacturing facilities of Benoni Mineral Water Works.

1939 - After initially using the production facilities of the Benoni Mineral Water Works, Coca-Cola (Pty) Ltd builds and commissions its first bottling plant situated at 38 Stanley Avenue, Auckland Park, Johannesburg in January 1939. This marks the birth of The Coca- Cola Bottling Company of Johannesburg.
