Amazon Kindle Paperwhite e-reader in good working condition.

This is the original 1st-generation Kindle Paperwhite (5th-generation Kindle), model EY21, originally released in 2012. It features the classic 6-inch E-Ink Paperwhite display with built-in front lighting, making it comfortable to read both during the day and in low-light conditions.

The Kindle has been factory reset and deregistered. I have tested the device and confirmed that it powers up, the touchscreen functions correctly, Wi-Fi connects successfully and the device operates normally. The battery is also still holding its charge nicely.

The screen is in very good condition, with no significant scratches or damage visible.

Condition

The main cosmetic issue is the rubberised rear casing, which has developed the slightly sticky/tacky feeling that can occur with ageing soft-touch coatings. The casing is intact, but the surface does feel somewhat sticky to the touch. This could easily be concealed with a protective Kindle cover, and otherwise does not affect the operation of the device.

Registration

The Kindle has been fully reset and deregistered and is ready for a new owner to set up.

I was unable to complete registration directly through the Kindle because my Amazon account has two-step authentication enabled. The authentication SMS was received successfully, but the older Kindle appears to have difficulty completing the two-step verification process via the device, so two step verification might need to be disabled to register via the device.
