The AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800X3D is an 8-core, 16-thread desktop processor designed for gaming systems and performance-focused Socket AM4 upgrades. Combining AMD's Zen 3 architecture with AMD 3D V-Cache™ technology and 96 MB of L3 cache, it provides a capable foundation for demanding games, multitasking and everyday desktop workloads.
AMD 3D V-Cache™ technology gives the Ryzen 7 5800X3D a substantial 96 MB of L3 cache, with 100 MB of combined L2 and L3 cache. This additional on-chip memory helps the processor keep frequently accessed data closer to its cores, supporting responsive performance in compatible games and applications.
Eight processor cores and sixteen threads provide the resources needed for modern gaming, background applications and multi-threaded workloads. The processor operates at a 3.4 GHz base clock and can boost up to 4.5 GHz using AMD Precision Boost 2 technology.
The Socket AM4 design makes this processor suitable for compatible AMD 500-series and selected 400-series motherboards. Support includes X570, X470, B550, B450 and A520 chipsets, although motherboard model, BIOS version and manufacturer support should always be confirmed before installation.
Dual-channel DDR4 memory support provides compatibility with established AM4 desktop platforms, while PCIe® 4.0 connectivity supports high-bandwidth components on compatible motherboards. The processor does not include integrated graphics, so a separate graphics card is required.
