How Build-a-Box Works:
A component of a computer (usually the CPU or motherboard) is offered at a fixed price or auctioned.
Higher models or specifications for that component are offered at a specified upgrade price, which the buyer has the option of accepting or not.
Complimentary components are also offered to the buyer at specified prices, which the buyer has the option of accepting or not.
This allows the buyer to mix and match great offerings to "build" his or her own computer.
Assembly, installation and setup are either free, charged at a specified price or not done as determined, which the buyer will be given the option of accepting or not.
