STUNNING ROYAL PURPLE AMETHYST AND MARCASITE STERLING SILVER PENDANT AND SNAKE LINK CHAIN. 925
This gorgeous piece is a beautifully made amethyst, marcasite and sterling silver pendant on a slim snake-link sterling silver chain. A classic colour combination of the deep, royal purple of the amethysts with the glint of marcasites set within shining sterling silver of different textures make this an eye-catching piece! The pendant is 4 round faceted amethysts, set in a cross, with a fifth matching amethyst in the centre. 4 bezel set marcasites are set in between the 'arms'. The openwork between the gemstones allows for light refraction of the amethysts, and creates interest. The pendant is 16mm wide x 25mm long, including the bale.The bale itself is beautifully decorated with a matching notched border and a marcasite set amongst textured sterling silver. The necklace is vintage in appeal and although "previously loved" is not a very old piece. No signs of wear or even buff marks. The snake-link chain is 43cm long. The 925 sterling silver hallmark appears on both items. I bought three pieces together in the same design. The ring and earrings are also up for bidding today on Crazy Wednesday.
