Ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) has many uses in laboratories, including:

- Cooling baths: It's used to create low temperatures in cooling baths.

Food: the food grade one is used as a yeast nutrient in bread making.

Metalwork: It's used as a flux in tinning, galvanizing, and soldering to remove oxide coatings from metals.
