How absolutely marvellous is this ....

A hand painted shocking orange tea set made between 1930 and 1950 . The orange colour is very typical of the Art Deco period and the detail is simply astonishing . I examined this set with my loupe and it is beyond remarkable how each line , dot and curve has been painted with the utmost care to insure that they are alike . I see no signs of transfer printing .

The texture of the surface as well as the fragile nature of the porcelain lead me to conclude that this was a very time consuming and delicate process to pursue but the end result as you see is well worth the labour .

I detected no chips or cracks nor repairs . In the second last photo you will see the only real "flaw" I could find which can be covered up but considering age , not recommended .

This set was never used and was on display since the 1940`s according to the ex owner who received it as a wedding gift .

You will not be disappointed .
