Like the companion work on the horse by the same author, this little guide to anatomy comprises eight transparent illustrations (20X15 cm) in colour depicting various parts and organs of the dog. There are also nine smaller illustrations which show the details of foot, stifle joint, part of alimentary tract, anal region, female genitalia, gravid uterus, intervertebral disc and its relation to the spinal cord, and a section through the ear. An index lists 175 parts and organs shown, and a guide explains the various illustrations. A chart illustrates relationships of wild species to domestic dogs. Biological data of the dog are also given.
