THE TAPE MEASURES IN INCHES WITH A TOTAL LENGTH OF 200 FEET. RABONE CHESTERMAN WAS A SHEFFIELD BASED COMPANY THAT STARTED OPERATION IN THE 1700's MAKING VARIOUS TYPES OF RULERS (MEASURING DEVICES). THE TAKE MEASURE HAS AN INSCRIPTION ON THE TAPE AS FOLLOWS " SPECIALLY MADE FOR BURNS RIVERS & Co (Pty) Ltd, JOHANNESBURG".
