We have on offer an awesome antique (coal heated) brass Russian Samovar in good condition for its age!!! The Samovar is a stunning ornamental piece that would look amazing in any home. A samovar literally means a "self-boiler” and is a heated metal container traditionally used to heat and boil water, in and around Russia as well as in other areas such as Central Europe, South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe, Iran, Kashmir (Northern India) and the Middle-East. Since the heated water is typically used to make tea, many samovars have a ring-shaped attachment (as shown in the pics) around the chimney to hold and heat a teapot filled with tea concentrate. Though traditionally heated with coal or charcoal, many newer samovars use electricity to heat water in a manner similar to an electric water boiler or kettle. The samovar measures 27cm long (Handle to handle) x 16cm wide x roughly 41.55cm high.
