This incredible original signed R. Gerson oil on canvas painting in an ornate antique gilded frame and measures 74.5cm wide x 63.5cm high and 62cm wide x 52cm (ex-frame). The painting is titled "Swiss Alps" and depicts a Swiss Alpine cottage in the midst of the snowy mountains. R Gerson was a visual painter and although not much is documented about the artist, his work commands high prices, often selling for $1000's. The painting is in good condition as is the ornate moulded frame. There are minor scuffs on the frame, but nothing a little TLC can't sort out. The frame alone is worth a fortune.
