This exceptionally rare antique Belleek of Ireland hand painted fine porcelain pair of coffee cups/ mugs in the Neptune Green range is an insanely rare find and only a hand full of these antique Belleek pieces are available around the world. There are no chips or cracks in either of the coffee cups. The Neptune range was manufactured in green, white, pink and yellow. The black stamp at the base of the cups confirm that they are a first series and were made between 1891 and 1926. The coffee cups each measure 7cm high x 7cm wide and 9.5cm including the handle.
Belleek has been making superior porcelain since 1857. The factory produces porcelain that is characterised by its thinness, slightly iridescent surface and that the body is formulated with a significant proportion of frit (granulated compound).
