This exquisite hand painted "blue and white" replica "Ming dynasty" oriental porcelain ginger jar with a lid is in wonderful condition and the inside rim of the jar has a small chip on it which is not noticeable when the lid is on. This jar is a replica of early Ming Imperial Court Artifacts (1368-1644) hand painted under glaze and wood fired in the ancient method. This is a stunning addition for a collector. This jar stands 21cm high. Please have a look at the pics to fully appreciate this awesome ginger jar and to confirm the condition.

From the internet:  The imperial porcelain factory was established at Jingdezhen (Ching-te-chen, ) at the beginning of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and from this time the position of Jingdezhen as the centre of porcelain production became consolidated. The imperial wares that were specially manufactured for use at court were made particularly exquisitely and were marked with the reign mark of the emperor himself. In addition to the monochromes and the underglaze blue porcelains that continued to be produced among the official wares of the Ming Dynasty, innovations appeared throughout the period, such as jihong () in the Xuande (, 1426-1436), doucai (, contending colors) in the Chenghua (, 1465-1488), jiaohuang () in the Hongzhi (, 1488-1506), and wucai (, five-color) in the Wanli (, 1573-1620), all of which are representatively significant in the history of the development of Ming Dynasty porcelain.
