This extremely rare antique (1946) hallmarked sterling silver Art Deco (Diplomat series) Yard-O-Led Mechanical propelling pencil is a magnificent find and is on stunning antique condition. The pencil is hallmarked with the Lion Passant confirming it it British Sterling Silver (925), the Leopard Head Assay mark confirming it was made in London, the date letter "L" confirming it was made in 1946 and the Makers mark "J.M. & Co" confirming it was made by Johnson Matthey & Co. The pencil is 12cm long and weighs 20.66g. All the parts are in good working condition and it does need pencil leads.
