This incredible and extremely rare large Victorian (1800's) double brass-handle copper egg poacher is a superb find, especially this size and in this condition. The heavy egg poacher would have been used in a larger home or restaurant or possibly a hotel. The poacher can cook twelve eggs at a time. Many articles that I came across also refer to it as a French Escargot pan. The pan measures 69cm long (handle to handle) x 47.5cm across the pan x 7cm high. The pan is lined in tin. This pan could definitely still be used, but also makes for a stunning decorative display piece in a kitchen. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this amazing antique copper egg poacher and to confirm the condition as they form part of the description.
