This amazing antique Swedish made "E. Jernmanuf Aktiebolag" of Eskilstuna, Sweden is a rare find and in amazing condition for its age. The knife is 25.5cm long and weighs 81.20g. The handle of the knife is stamped 830S, confirming it is 830 solid silver and the steel blade has the company stamp dating it to around 1910. The company started business in 1868 and ceased operations in 1966. The company was an iron works company, specialising in bayonets, scissors, hinges, watch stands, padlocks, cigar cups, folding knives, skates, carpentry tools and household scales as well as cutlery. The knife is stamped 830S (830 solid silver) which was traditionally used in Scandinavian countries such as Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Portugal up to around 1920 when the silver purity was changed to 925 to meet international standards.
