This magnificently detailed antique 19th century Victorian walnut and walnut burr combination hand-carved loo table has stunning marquetry and rail inlay detailing and is on its original wooden castors. The antique table measures 106cm long x 60cm wide x 70cm high and a wonderful find. The table is the ideal table in a foyer or entrance hall and the perfect card table. A “Loo table” is a table model from the 18th and 19th centuries, originally designed for the card game loo, which was also known as lanterloo. The typical loo table has an oval or round top, and a hinged mechanism fitted to a pedestal base, enabling the table to be easily stored when not in use. (This table does not tilt, so might also be called a breakfast table). The table has a little age and usage related wear and tear and scuffs etc (see pics). There is a small section of the edge missing, but it is not particularly visible if it is positioned to the back. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this incredible antique table with marquetry inlay detailing and to confirm the condition. Please view the shipping options or request courier costs prior to purchasing any of our products.
