An incredible vintage Italian Murano Sommerso art glass astray - green with copper Aventurine

This incredible vintage Italian Murano Sommerso green art glass astray with copper Aventurine is a particularly wonderful find and not many of these ashtrays have survived since the 1950's and 1960's as the hand blown glass is notably thinner than the traditional ashtrays, vases and ornaments produced in those years. The ashtrays were the work of Flavio Poli Sommerso (1900 to 1984) and his cutting edge glass designs led to many of his pieces being housed in top museums around the world. The ashtray measures 18cm long x 13.5cm wide x 4.5cm high. there are no chips or cracks in the amazing piece of art glass.
