This cel from The Real Ghostbusters is an American animated television series based on the 1984 film Ghostbusters. The series ran from 1986 to 1991, and was produced by Columbia Pictures Television, DiC Enterprises, and Coca-Cola Telecommunications. The series continues the adventures of paranormal investigators Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, their secretary Janine Melnitz and their mascot ghost Slimer.

This cel depicts a Ghoul, in Close-Up. Cels of Ghouls and Villains are very popular and sought after, as most of them only made an appearance in 1 Episode, making them extremely Rare. Including Original sketch, which has picked up a slight bit of wear over the years.

A cel, short for celluloid, is a transparent sheet on which objects are drawn or painted for traditional, hand-drawn animation. With the advent of computer assisted animation production, the use of cels has been abandoned in major productions, since the 1990's when Computer Animation Production System (CAPS) replaced this element in their animation process.. so now that all cartoons are done on computer, these rare, hard to find cells have become a highly sought after Art form for Collectors World Wide. 

Each cel is unique and 1 of a kind. This cel has been placed on a lovely reproduction background (A copy of an actual background used in the Real Ghostbusters animated television series). The cel has been placed on a cardboard backing, with frame. GREAT for display.. A rare and sought after art form...
