aka "Billy Jenkins"
He was an actor, circus and
Variety artist, artistic rider, artistic shooter,
Lasso thrower, bird of prey tamer
and title character of the Wild West novel series
Billy Jenkins, the German
King of the Cowboys - a living legend.
After adventurous (possibly...
only fictitious) years
on the high seas, as a gold and diamond digger
in South Africa where he took part in combat operations
became embroiled in the Boer War,
after adventures in
China at the time of the Boxer Rebellion,
and from then on called himself Billy Jenkins.
It was successful with the fictional character Billy Jenkins
to create an alter ego for him, the
circus environment and western myth cleverly combined
mixed up. Hundreds of
dime magazines were written by various authors
continues to build on the myth of Billy Jenkins.
