This first day cover is signed by the members of the 1976 South African men lawn bowlers team: Doug Watson, Bill Moseley, Kevin Campbell, Kelvin Lightfoot and Nando Gatti as well as the manager L. Kessel. In 1976 South Africa’s men lawn bowlers whitewashed the world. The “Zoo Lake Five” was the envy of all; the first time in decades of World Championship history one nation had won all four disciplines. The team was called the "Zoo Lake Five" because they belonged to Zoo Lake Bowling Club.
