This book is a compelling read that captures the spirit and atmosphere, the daily routine, the boredom, fear, camaraderie and other intense experiences of an SADF soldier. For everyone who did military service, as well as their family and friends, this book is a must.
Educated in Spain and South Africa, JH Thompson, a former game ranger and travel guide, is now a Johannesburg-based writer. She works as a freelance journalist contributing features and reviews to newspapers, magazines and websites. An Unpopular War is her first book.
