Product OverviewThe MAX13086EESD+ is a ±15KV ESD protected, fail-safe, hot swap, +5V RS485/RS422transceiver in 14 pin NSOIC package. The fail-safe circuitry in this devicefeatures a logic high receiver output when receiver input is open or shorted.The receiver outputs a logic high if all transmitters on a terminated bus aredisabled (high impedance) and a hot swap capability to eliminate falsetransitions on the bus during power-up or hot insertion. In this device driverslew rates are not limited, making transmit speed up to 16Mbps.
