Product OverviewThe MAX9921AUB+ is a dual, 2-wire hall effect sensor interface with diagnosticsin 10 pin µMAX package. It provides a single chip solution to interface two2-wire hall effect sensor to a low voltage microprocessor (µP). This devicesupplies and monitors current drawn by two hall-effect sensors, filters thesensed current level and outputs the corresponding logic level. It includesinput diagnostics and fault protection. These features allow device to determinefault conditions such as open inputs, inputs shorted to the battery and inputsshorted to ground. If MAX9921 detects any of these conditions at either IN1 orIN2, device shuts off current to corresponding input. It provides an 80µsblanking time following hall sensor power-up or restart. The open drain logicoutputs are compatible with logic levels up to 5.5V.
