Ancient Biblical Prutah Coin : Marcus Ambibulus / Valerius Gratus

Marcus Ambivulus was Roman Prefect of the province of Judea and Samaria during Christ’s lifetime. Originally a cavalry officer, he succeeded Coponius in 9 AD and ruled the area until 13 AD.

I am of the opinion that the coin may date a few years later when Valerius Gratus, (15 - 26 AD) was the Prefect under Tiberius

A similar coin is described as follows: Obverse: TIB KAI CAP ; Inscription within wreath tied at base with an "x". Reverse: IOY ΛIA ; Palm branch flanked by date ; L I A (Year 11 = 24 AD)
