Anubis is the ancient Egyptian god of mummification, the afterlife, and the guide of souls. He is typically depicted as a jackal or a man with a jackal head, often associated with funerary rites and the protection of the dead. Anubis played a crucial role in the mummification process and was believed to oversee the weighing of the heart in the judgment of the afterlife.
