Ancient Greece: Alexander the Great 336-323 BC Silver Drachm
Alexander III of Macedon, most commonly known as Alexander the Great, was a king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon. He was undefeated in battle and is widely considered to be one of history's greatest and most successful military commanders.
The obverse of the silver Drachm coin shows Heracles, also known as Hercules in Roman mythology, the son of Zeus. The reverse shows Zeus on his throne, holding an eagle in his right hand and long scepter with his left.
The pictures at the bottom were taken before the coin was certified and slabbed by Sangs.
