Anglo Boer War Commemoration: Set of Six 99.99% Silver Medals

Produced by the SA Mint in 1999 for the centenary of the start of the Anglo-Boer War in 1899.

Proof fine (99.9% pure) silver. Diameter 27 mm. Mass 10.7 grams each. The medals are inside clear hard-plastic capsules and presented in the original black SA Mint case that show some age marks on the back

Each of the six medals shows a scene from the Boer War:

Medal 1: “FAREWELL / VAARWEL" & “11 OCTOBER / 1899”

Medal 2: “PAARDEBERG”

Medal 3: “SPIONKOP”

Medal 4: “THE SIEGES”

Medal 5: “THE GUERRILLA / PHASE”

Medal 6: “PEACE / VREDE” & “31 MAY 1902”.
