Laidlaw number 0274.

According to Laidlaw “On 19th June 1900, following the occupation of Pretoria, the City Council of Cape Town decided to present a medal commemorating the restoration of peace to school children. The presentation was premature. The white metal medal was for school children and the silver medal for dignitaries”.
