This BUY NOW item is an illustrated literary supplement of the Petit Parisien published on 22 July 1902 and depicts the signing of the Treaty of Vereniging on 31 May 1902 ending the second Boer War between Britain and the two Afrikaner Republics of Transvaal and the Orange Free State. The Treaty was signed by President Burger (Transvaal) and General De Wet (Orange Free State) as well as Sir Alfred Milner and Lord Kitchener of Britain at Melrose House in Pretoria.
