The front part of the postal envelopes (with their addresses) of Boer Prisoners-of-War at the Green Point Camp has been laminated on paper in two parts.
The first laminated piece was made by “een boer van die distrik Hoopstad, Andries Abraham le Roux, gebore in het jaar 1882. Ter gedagtenis van Groen Punt toen hy krygsgevangene was”.
He then names the persons who were in tent number 59 with him with a drawing of the Orange Free State Coat-of-Arms. On the reverse of the laminated piece is four letters addressed to inmates at the camp (JG de Villiers - who was from Grasfontein Ficksburg, PJA Pienaar, JJ du Plessis and again PJA Pienaar.
The second laminated piece has eight postal letters (covers) addressed to the following surnames: Bosman, Kok, Maritz, de Klerk, Dempers, Rheder, van Vuren and Le Clus.
