Size A4, hardcover with d/j in good condition. Solidly bound and clean inside. First published 1991 with 102 pages and b/w and colour photographs. Top corner of front board slightly bumped. Name of previous owner on first endpage in ink. Helen Martins was born and spent her childhood in Nieu Bethesda, a small village not far from Graaff-Reinet. In the 1950's, after her parents deaths, she began to alter the interior of the house and to transform the yard into a sculpture garden. It later attaining national monument status.
