RARE COLLECTABLE DESIGNER FIGURINE BY ANNE GODFREY - COLD CAST BRONZE - THE NORTH LIGHT RHINO FAMILY, 1980 - SIGNED

"NORTH LIGHT" WAS FOUNDED IN 1978 BY GUY POCOCK AND ANNE GODFREY , AND WERE JOINED LATER BY PHILIP BECKWITH. ALL THREE WERE ARTISTS BUT GUY AND PHILIP DEALT WITH ADMINISTRATION EXCLUSIVELY WHILE ANNE GODFREY WAS THE DESIGNER AND ARTIST FOR THE FIGURINES THE COMPANY PRODUCED RIGHT UP UNTIL ITS CLOSURE. BETWEEN 1985 AND 1990 NORTH LIGHT EVEN WENT INTO A PARTNERSHIP WITH CLAIRE AND ROBERT BESWICK WHOSE FAMILY WAS PART OF THE BESWICK FIGURINES PRODUCTION. IN 2005 NORTH LIGHT WAS ACQUIRED BY WADE AND CLOSED PERMANENTLY 2009

THIS COLLECTABLE FIGURINE IS SCULPTED FROM CAST BRONZE AND WAS DESIGNED AND CRAFTED BY ANNE GODFREY AS WELL AS SIGNED / TITLED AND DATED BY HER. THE FIGURINE IS TITLED - "THE NORTH LIGHT RHINO FAMILY" AND WAS CREATED IN 1980. IT DEPICTS A MOTHER RHINO WITH HER CHILD BESIDE HER IN THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE OF AFRICA
