Antique 18ct Yellow Gold Ruby and Diamond Ring

The antique 18ct yellow gold ring is set with a line of seven round-cut rubies (one circa 0.19ct; two circa 0.14ct each; two circa 0.07ct each and two circa 0.016ct each making a total of circa 0.64ct; - the rubies are possibly laboratory grown and are of a deep red colour with a touch of purple; although they exhibit good clarity, they have some unusually shaped bubble inclusions which indicate that they may be early 20^th Century laboratory made stones). They are set down the centre of the elongated, navette-shaped head, and they are surrounded by 14 small rose-cut diamonds (circa 0.28ct in total). Laboratory grown stones are not unusual in rings of this age and quality. The ring is marked 18ct.
