Antique 18^th/19^th Century Rudot a Lille French Royal Aristocratic Mon Oudart Old Pewter Demi Liter Measuring Jug

ON AUCTION IS A RARE ANTIQUE 18TH/19TH CENTURY FRENCH ROYAL ARISTOCRATIC HOUSE OUDART KITCHEN GENUINE OLD PEWTER MEASURING JUG. It is an excellent example of the French Rudotalille Mon. Oudart #8 Lidded Pewter Measuring Jug.
 
The words Demi-Litr (half liter) are on the front of body with letter FH underneath. On the base is a double crowned flower stamp with the initials IBO in the crown (possibly the makers initials). Underneath an oval stamp with the name Rudotalille Mon. Oudart.  

It carries an oval marking on the lid looking like a fleur de lis mark; there are many letter excise marks on the Paris lid thumb piece of which I could decipher a K and a M and the letter 16. Also 7 excise marks just below the outer lip.

Truly fine antique pewter measuring jug.  THESE FRENCH MEASURING JUGS ARE VERY RARE AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER. PLEASE HAVE A LOOK ONLINE AS TO RARITY AND VALUE.
