This beautiful antique Edwardian/WWI-era dessert spoon is a genuine piece of historic British silver, crafted by the highly regarded silversmiths Levi & Salaman (stamped with their clear 'L&S' maker's mark). The reverse of the handle displays a pristine set of full British hallmarks including the Birmingham Assay Office anchor, the Lion Passant guaranteeing 92.5% solid sterling silver purity, and the gothic date letter 'q' for the year 1915. Designed in a classic, understated Old English Tipped pattern with a clean oval bowl, this versatile 15.5cm spoon was historically intended for desserts, pudding, or porridge. Weighing a heavy, high-quality 30.9 grams, this investment-grade silver piece remains in excellent antique condition with light surface wear appropriate for its age, showcasing a bright luster and an untouched natural patina.
